Henry Paton born parish Dollar Clackmannanshire county Scotland about 1851 - father John Paton occupation carpenter and Jane Gibson his mother. On 30th May 1874 Henry was entered into the Freemason Lodge St Andrew No 465 Glasgow Scotland. The 4th June 1874 Henry sailed from Greenock (Glasgow) to Lyttelton New Zealand on the ship 'Canterbury'. It was her maiden voyage and he was age 24 occupation ploughman from the district of Clackmannan.
