Lived Mangaweka on family sheep farm.
Married George Gower in 1946, divorced and married Hubert (Pat) Lichtenstein in 1955. Pat died Auckland 1992.
No children. She lived a number of places mainly within New Zealand and liked to travel.
Mary died age 87 at resthome Paraparaumu 1999. Cremated and ashes scattered.
