Henry was an engineer & bachelor residing Dunedin New Zealand prior to marriage 23 February 1880 to Mary McKinlay spinster of Ferry Road Christchurch.
Mary McKinlay born 25 November 1855 Bothwell Lanark Scotland. Mother Mary McConnell (Cook) - third wife of James McKinlay (Colliery Worker).
They had 6 children - Henry (Harry) born 12 February 1881, Edward John born 24 November 1882, Mary (Minnie) born 27 October 1884, Robert James born 18 September 1886, Grace Gibson born 12 February 1889 and Elsie born 1895.
Henry died 18th March 1920 age 69 at home 59 Maitland Street Dunedin of cardiac failure after a 2 year illness. Mary was a widow at 64 with 6 surviving adult children.
